I saw this documentary a few weeks back (now available on DVD). It's basically about how modern skateboarding was born. Now, I'm sure many of you will say, "Well, I'm not really interested in skateboarding modern or otherwise." I assure you it will not disappoint. It follows the lives of a small group of surfers who migrate over to pavement surfing during the off times and subsequently re-invent the skateboarding industry. It's got amazing vintage footage and photos as well as interviews with the (now grown up) Z-Boys themselves. It's a nostalgic walk that makes you wish you were there.

Normally I wouldn't make a post about something like this but I have to say its one of the Best DVD's in my collection.

Awesome documentary indeed, and also part of my personal DVD collection. The mentioning of surfing through the debris and rebar etc. in the beginning is truly hardcore!
